Solar Powered Android is a blog established to offer up news in the pursuit of renewable sources of power for devices running the Google Android operating system. There are many solar-power consumables on the market today that will make a decent job of charging up small Android devices such as mobile phones. Systems like Power Monkey are quite good at this but more work needs to be carried out so that our mobile computing systems - whether handsets, tablets or notebooks - can run self-sufficiently in the field/on the road for days at a time.
In the near future I hope to cover both the commercial chargers available and the low-power Android computers that can be run successfully from these power sources.
